Prey Searching White Birds

Prey Searching White Birds
One can see thousands of birds camped on the bog land of “*******”. They are very busy by looking down into the marsh land searching for something. They look like the one who had lost his precious diamond on the open ground. Almost for entire day they are in that constant search. When the day is gone they go back to their nests. But their search is only on this marsh land. They come here and start their duty everyday. No one knows when they are going to discover their lost diamond. For this alone they take a long journey for this unending pursuit.
“Birds searching for the diamond!” If this utterance would be spelt out to the common man, the reply will be this, “fool, don’t you know this basic truth. They are searching for their food. For this alone they travelled for hundreds of miles. Are you an educated man?” With this reply we have to keep silent with shame. The old wise man does not know our imagination on that prey searching white birds.
What makes us to think the birds' search of food as the search of the diamond is totally different. Ten years before we might not have imagined this. The bog land would be an ordinary sight for us. Today something makes this encircled landscape very conspicuous. The modern world has encircled this bit of land into the vista of geometrical shape. We look into this luscious land from the background of decayed situation. Concrete buildings are towering around the land. That is the grand scenery but this marsh is the only place which carries age old memories of “*******” life. Such ancient life is no more today. Albeit, this small part of that old life is very precious to us today. It is almost an ancient diamond of “*******” life.
It is not the birds who are searching for their lost identity but we ourselves who are unconsciously searching for the lost land. It is we who are perking into that scenery as though it is a priceless material. Hence, we imagined it poetically.

How long can this epic scenery be continued? As we are imaging the scene poetically, there is a fear which haunts us with respect to the disaster of the land. When days go by the tension will be increased. Now quietly they satiate their stomach. Slowly the modern development will throng this marsh. Day will come when there will be no need for us to hush them out of the land. They themselves will vacate the land. The tension of chaotic noise will vacate them from the land. With the strength of their wings they will travel to another bog land. The loss is neither for the birds nor for us the viewers. Ultimately it is the poetic imagination which suffers this loss. If this is left alone with the feel of loss, soul of poetic imagination will not be satiated for eternity. Poetic imagination will haunt this vacated land as the demons haunt the waterless place. At least some justification needs to be done to its turbulent soul. It expects someone to respond to its painful cry over this scenery. The responds can be in the form of painting and of words. Then the soul may remain calm. What it expects from the outsider is, “Be silent! Be still!”

  1. The article is a good lesson which all of mankind should learn. We often think that birds are always greedy just like us. But we haven't thought of this aspect at all. Thank you very much sir. For taking the time to explain these wonderful morals to us. I have read each and every word carefully and I believe that this will teach each and every human race what nature has instore which we don't feel and appreciate them. This a very good article on Marsh lands. I derived 3 messages out of it.
1st -it was our stupidity of what we think of birds.
2nd -is how we waste water and how it is necessary for others.
3rd - we should be still and be silent.
Thank you very much Sir. Arul.
